Bike Around the Bay

October 21-22, 2017!

New this year to Bike Around the Bay is the opportunity to participate in a 45-minute yoga and stretching session at the finish of day 1. Participants will focus on static yoga stretches to help open and increase flexibility. After riding 96.3 miles, this session will allow your body to recover and will help enhance performance for day 2 and prevent injuries.
Yoga Instructor: Rani Henderson, RYT200, has been practicing yoga in the Clear Lake and Galveston area for 11 years. Rani happens to also be the Galveston Bay Foundation's Environmental Education Programs Manager. She loves fitness and the outdoors and is delighted to offer this yoga session for our Bike Around the Bay cyclists. All skill levels are invited to participate. Mats are not required nor necessary. Join us for the 11th annual Bike Around the Bay, a two-day 170-mile fully supported ride around Galveston Bay. This unique cycling event takes riders in a complete loop around the largest estuary in Texas (and one of the biggest in North America)! All proceeds from this signature fundraising ride directly benefit the Galveston Bay Foundation and its mission to preserve and protect the Bay.
